for our common
future
For over 95 years, Venti Oelde has been developing and building solutions that enable clean air, safe working environments and resource-saving processes. Sustainability is not a trend for us, but part of our identity: economically strong, socially responsible and committed to the environment.
As a third-generation family business, we take responsibility - for the people who work with us, for our customers worldwide and for the world in which we live.
Sustainability
For the Venti Oelde Group, sustainability means combining economic success with responsibility. We develop durable technologies that reduce emissions, save energy and close cycles. In this way, we enable our customers to achieve safe, clean and efficient production, thereby helping them to meet their own sustainability goals. We are committed to a corporate culture that puts quality, reliability and innovation first.

Our holistic understanding of sustainability is based on international standards such as the OECD Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our commitment is anchored in our mission statement and corporate policy and integrated into our business practices, from our strategy to our work instructions. We collect sustainability metrics in accordance with the VSME standard and make them available to interested stakeholders. Our sustainability programme prioritises focus areas based on a double materiality analysis and sets targets for them.
Venti Oelde Group sustainability goals
Clean air
for 6 million people
From 2026 to 2030, we aim to have supplied air treatment plants that clean the amount of air needed by 6 mio people.
Accident frequency
< 20
We stand for occupational safety - with the aim of
keeping the accident frequency rate with lost time (UH) at all locations consistently below 20
and thus below the German average for our industry.

Sustainability through air technology - our greatest lever
Our technologies make a significant contribution to the transformation towards a sustainable industry. With every cubic meter of air purified, every kilowatt hour of energy saved, every material recycled and every decibel of noise reduced, we are lowering emissions, conserving resources and protecting health – not only at our own premises, but above all at those of our customers.
Clean air is one of the Venti Oelde Group's greatest contributions to sustainable development. Our systems remove dust, smoke, aerosols, vapours, gases and odours from industrial exhaust air - reliably, safely and energy-efficiently. In 2024, the air volumes purified by new systems already corresponded to the annual demand for fresh breathing air of over two million people. By 2030, we want to supply further systems with a purification capacity equivalent to the air requirements of 6 million people.
Our technologies thus make a decisive contribution to:
- Healthier industrial production
- Lower emissions in production processes
- Safe and clean working environments
- Protection of people and the environment worldwide
They thus support the achievement of the goal of over 50 countries and countless cities, institutions and NGOs to reduce the health effects of air pollution by 50% by 2040.
We are committed to the goals of the Paris Agreement and our solutions make a relevant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in energy-intensive as well as in hard to decarbonize industries. In addition, our solutions support the energy transition:
- Energy-efficient fans with efficiencies > 90%
- Waste heat recovery and heat recovery systems
- Solutions for decarbonising steel and cement production
- 60% more energy-efficient recycling processes
- Air technology for CCS/CCU processes
- Drying technology for the development and production of batteries
With plant efficiency and innovation, we support our customers in achieving their climate targets.
Closing material cycles not only conserves resources and is a key objective of the EU's Clean Industrial Deal.
The circular economy is also a key lever for decarbonisation and achieving climate targets. Circularity is at the core of our DNA. We enable:
- Retrofit instead of new equipment → extended service life, less resource consumption
- Recycling solutions for metal, wood and mixed scrap
- Single-variety separation, e.g. for manufacturing green steel
- SPÄNEX: briquetting presses that reduce material volumes by up to 90%
- Long service life thanks to wear protection, precise design and robust construction
In addition to clean air, water is essential for functioning ecosystems. Our technologies conserve this vital resource:
- In recycling plants, we enable completely water-free processes and avoid the generation of sludge and wastewater through innovative dry separation
- Where water is indispensable, we rely on closed cycles
Occupational health and safety is our standard - and our aspiration.
- Certified to ISO 45001
- Systematic occupational health and safety ("Safe with a system")
- Regular training in environmental protection, occupational health and safety
- Continuously falling accident rates
- Protection against dust, noise and explosions at customer plants worldwide
Sustainability at our locations
For us, sustainability begins with our daily actions –
from resource-efficient operations to responsible cooperation.

Environment
We continuously invest in energy efficiency and environmentally friendly processes at our own sites.
This includes:
- A high proportion of self-generated renewable energy from our own photovoltaic system
- Electric company vehicles and modern charging infrastructure
- Electric forklift trucks
- Documented waste management with
a recycling rate of 70% - Recycling of metals and sorted steel waste in material cycles
- Natural areas to promote biodiversity
- Trained employees in the handling of paints, varnishes and hazardous substances

Social affairs

Our employees are the heart of the Venti Oelde Group. We create conditions that enable safety, development and appreciation:
- Remuneration that is fair, transparent and aligned with collective agreements
- Flexible working time models and home office options
- Training centre for commercial and technical professions
- Professional developement, qualifications and seminars
- A culture of occupational safety
Corporate Social Responsibility
As a company, we are a good neighbour at all our locations and take responsibility, for example, by:
- Donations to associations
- Supporting social projects
- Participating in sustainability activities such as the Oelde Clean-Up Day
- Promoting early enthusiasm for STEM subjects and technical professions by visiting preschools and schools at our locations.

Corporate governance
At Venti, our actions are consistently guided by our Code of Conduct and our corporate policy, which set out binding rules for responsible conduct for all employees and partners.
- Clear company policy on environmental protection, occupational health and safety
- Reliable and transparent business processes
