The Confederation of German Steel Recycling and Waste Management Companies is a marketing board active throughout the Federal Republic of Germany.
It represents the interests of German companies as well as of those non-Germany companies which are active in Germany in the sectors of steel recycling and other waste management services. It is the largest steel recycling association in Europe. Key economic and environmental conditions of the recycling business are the main concern of the association.
The Bureau of International Recycling promotes materials recycling and facilitates free and fair trade of recyclables in a sustainable and competitive world economy.
Founded in 1948, BIR was the first federation to support the interests of the recycling industry on an international scale. Today, BIR represents over 850 member companies from the private sector and 40 national associations in more than 70 countries. Together, these members form the largest international recycling federation.
The federation provides a dynamic forum for its members to share their knowledge and experience. It serves as a platform to establish successful business relations and to promote recycling among other industrial sectors and policy makers.

The German Chamber of Commerce in Austria (DHK) is part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) with over 150 locations in 93 countries.
Additionally, it is closely linked to the network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs). The umbrella organization for the IHKs is the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) in Berlin, which also coordinates and supervises the AHK network.
For over 100 years, the DHK has represented the interests of German businesses in Austria. With around 1,400 companies, it is the largest German-Austrian economic network in Austria. It promotes bilateral economic relations between Germany and Austria, supports companies with their business activities through numerous services, and represents leading German trade fairs in Austria.
As a 'One-Stop-Shop' for market entry in Austria, the DHK offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to individual company needs. It assists with the initial steps in the Austrian market and provides answers to legal and tax questions. The DHK's service company, HK Bilanz & Service GmbH, handles tasks such as payroll accounting, VAT representation, and bookkeeping.
Digital and analog events facilitate direct contact with decision-makers from business and politics, and enable companies to meet future business partners. With a membership in the AHK Austria, companies also benefit from the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), of which AHK Austria is a part.

The German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Deutsch-Niederländische Handelskammer - DNHK) has been supporting German-Dutch business relations for 110 years.
Whether it be in the form of market analyses, address searches, legal advice or personnel recruiting, the DNHK offers companies an all-round service for the neighbouring country and will arrange contacts with potential business partners and customers. The many events and publications offer, in addition, a welcome communication forum.
The DNHK also offers a unique network of companies, with more than 1,200 members from both countries. These include industrial corporations, service providers and commercial companies in almost all branches of industry. You will find information about the members as well as the advantages of membership in the DNHK on their website www.dnhk.org.

The North-Westphalia Chamber actively represents the business interests of more than 140,000 enterprises in industry, retail, trade, transport, banking, insurance, and services in the Münsterland and Emscher-Lippe regions.
The Chamber promotes the economy of its district and advocates the overall views of their member companies. In doing so, the Chamber must adopt a balanced and reasoned position to incorporate the various interests of individual branches of industry and companies.
The CCI is a leading authority for vocational training and final examinations. Moreover, it advises apprentices and employees on all questions relating to education and training. In the North-Westphalia district, around 3,300 volunteer examiners (affiliated to local enterprises) work on more than 350 CCI examination committees and ensure the practical relevance of the vocational and further training examinations. Therefore, skilled employees are trained in line with requirements, pass examinations on economics and subjects which are relevant to business, and strengthen the autonomy of the regional economy.

The REFA association is Germany’s oldest organisation for work structuring, company organisation and development. REFA develops methods for company data evaluation and management, and after consultation with unions and management these are transferred into an organisation’s own apprenticeship.
The main purpose of the association is to “increase efficiency through training”. It is an international provider of on-the-job training. Founded in the tradition of “scientific management” it represents “Industrial Engineering” in the German-speaking region.
With nearly 150,000 personal members – over a third of which are students and junior engineers under the age of 33 – The Association of German Engineers (VDI) is one of the largest technical-scientific associations in Europe.
Throughout the years, the VDI has successfully expanded its activities nationally and internationally committing itself to foster and impart knowledge about technology related issues. As a financially independent, politically unaffiliated and non-profit organization the VDI is recognized as the representative of engineers both within the profession and in public.
The VDI covers a wide range of technical topics and communicates this knowledge through studies, technical discussions and congresses or the VDI guidelines that create generally accepted technical rules. As an advisory partner the VDI engages in the relationship between technical and social developments. It focuses on the promotion of young talents and the support of upcoming engineers.
The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau – German Engineering Federation) is one of the key association service providers in Europe and offers the largest engineering industry network in Europe.
The VDMA represents over 3,100 mainly small/medium size member companies in the engineering industry.
The VDMA covers the entire process chain – everything from components and plant manufacturers, system suppliers and system integrators through to service providers. We reflect the varied customer-supplier relations all along the value adding chain, permitting both industry-specific and intra-industry cooperation.
