Fibre fly separation for nonwoven production
Venti Oelde planned and implemented a pneumatic conveyor system for feeding temporarily stored material into the production process for processing short textile fibres. The material, which is stored in bales, is shredded on site and then fed into further processing in a controlled manner.
The solution supplied consists of two separate pneumatic conveyor systems that transport the shredded textile fibres from the shredder to filtering storage containers. From there, the material is transported pneumatically via separate conveyor lines to the feed shafts of the two spreader boxes of the processing machines.
Any excess material that accumulates both at the processing machines and at the cyclone separators above the spreader box feed is reliably returned to the respective material feed hoppers via separate pneumatic return conveyor systems. Two specially designed PowerAirTubeFilters with Gottwald discharge were used as filtering buffer containers to ensure stable material flow and continuous plant operation.
